Sneak peek after 2 weeks of construction at inamo Camden
Our latest addition to inamo restaurants opens in Camden towards the end of November 2016 and we thought we would give you a sneak peek into the the ups and downs and the work that goes into building and then opening a restaurant. So we've asked our CEO, Lee, to give you a glimpse into his life at the minute, managing a team of builders, technicians, designers and the company as we get closer to the exciting opening.
As we enter week 3 of the build, which is a 10 week process, the team have constructed all internal walls. This shapes the plan and it’s only now that you understand how amazing this restaurant will look. Offering 160 seats, with a first floor roof terrace and a robata station on the ground floor terrace area, this will bring tranquility to our high tech concept.
On site there are still lots of finer details to confirm and I have spent a few hours today talking to our landlords about exact positions on air handling units, (so we can ventilate the restaurants on hot days as the under floor heating will keep it nice and cosy the rest of the time) as well as discussing with our site foreman progress from the weekend.
It’s amazing how quickly our main contractors ICM Limited are bringing this project together.
Below is a pic of the ground floor, looking into the kitchen from the restaurant area. Our signage team can be seen hard at work applying a window vinyl.
We hope that as we are next to Greater London House, directly opposite Mornington Crescent tube station, our new restaurant will bring Asian fusion to a wider audience as we gradually expand northwards from our original Central London base in Soho and Covent Garden.
